Wild Lights at Detroit Zoo will resume Monday, Dec. 26

The Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Center will reopen to the public on Saturday, Dec. 24. The Zoo will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the Nature Center will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Both campuses are closed on Christmas Day (Sunday, Dec. 25) and will resume normal operating hours again on Monday, Dec. 26.
There are no scheduled Wild Lights events at the Detroit Zoo on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Wild Lights will resume on Monday, Dec. 26 and will be open every night from 5 to 9 p.m. through Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023. The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, free with admission to the Zoo, will also be open for viewing inside the Ford Education Center.
The Detroit Zoo’s Australian Outback Adventure, which is home to 10 kangaroos and their close cousins, two red-necked wallabies, will remain closed on Dec. 24 and will reopen Dec. 26. Table 28 will be open for guests to dine during their trip to the Zoo.
